This day introduces participants to leadership fundamentals, strategic change, and the role of productive team leadership in dynamic organisations. Delegates identify and model leadership skills relevant to evolving roles. The topics covered will include:

This day focuses on developing leadership excellence through versatility, emotional intelligence, and effective stakeholder engagement. Participants explore practices that distinguish successful leaders. The topics covered will include:

  • Developing a culture of organizational excellence

Leadership – Communications is 90% of Your Job

This day emphasises communication as a core leadership skill. Participants develop active listening, manage interpersonal “noise,” and enhance synergy within teams. The topics covered will include:

  • Interpersonal communication is vital for successful leadership
    • Group Discussion:  Becoming aware of communication “noise”
  • Understanding the difference in interpersonal communication preferences
  • Developing active listening for leadership
    • Teamwork Exercise:  Active listening skills demonstration

Leadership – Demonstrating Productive Personal Interactions

This day focuses on interpersonal interactions and understanding leadership styles. Participants identify individual and team strengths, challenges, and strategies for effective collaboration. The topics covered will include:
  • Successful interpersonal interaction develops trust in teams
  • Identification of the personal leadership style
    • Teamwork Exercise:  Difference between how we respond styles
  • Individual strengths and challenges of leadership style
    • Teamwork Exercise:  Difference between decision making styles
  • Team strengths and challenges in interpersonal interactions
  • Understanding how teams work better using diverse interaction types
  • Developing a personal leadership plan to work with others

Day 5

Leadership – Change and Dealing with Others in Making Change

This day explores leading personal and team change, addressing challenges, and preparing teams for successful transitions. Participants learn strategies to avoid common pitfalls in change management. The topics covered will include:
  • Leading personal change in our teams
  • Understanding problems inherent with change in individuals and teams
    • Teamwork Exercise:  Identifying styles of our colleagues
  • Avoiding critical change mistakes
  • Identifying perceptions of change in a team
    • Group Discussion:  Process of change for ourselves and our organizations
  • Preparing project team and individuals for change
Certificates
  • On successful completion of this training course, GLOMACS Certificate will be awarded to the delegates.
  • Continuing Professional Education credits (CPE): In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, one CPE credit is granted per 50 minutes of attendance.
